  • promotional flyers - A5 handouts for stores

Research

For my research first of all I have found out the stocklists that have Triumph bras. The ones closest to where I live are Fenwicks, Beales, House of Fraser and John Lewis.
I think that it would be benificial for me to go to any of these stores and look at the way that they have been ticketed and the free standing adverts that they have around store. Also while I am in the stores in the lingerie departments, I also think it would be a good idea for me to look into other brands of underwear, that have the same kind of quality as Triumph. In doing this I think that I will get a good understanding of how the companies advertise, because there is a lot of lingerie companies, and they all want to do the same thing.
I am going to ask for permission to take photos of the tickets if there is any other form of advertising for 'bra fitting'. I know that Marks and Spencer do a bra fitting service, so I think that by going in there and asking sales assistants what a selection of questions about how important they think the importance of a bra fitting.

-----------------------

whilst I was at work at the weekend I walked past a poster that was on the outside of Fenwicks in Tunbridge wells where I work. It was a poster for Valentines day. It caught my attention because of the simple design and silhouette the London skyline.

From looking at this I believe that the font that is Gill Sans. I have used this before in pieces of work and this is why it caught my attention. I would like to have this type of style on my work with this project, I think this poster links well to my project because of the 'love' theme. Although I won't necessarily use a Valentines theme for my bra advertisements, I think it has a good colour scheme that already links well to the Triumph brand. Red and White.

Whilst in Cambridge this week I was just shopping and came across a Triumph shop. I went in and asked the shop assisant if I could take a few photos of their swing tickets on their garments. She wasn't so keen on the idea, but allowed me to do it in the end only by not getting the actual bra in the photo. I got these two different swing tickets that Triumph already use as swing tickets:

Looking at these swing tickets I think that I would like to use some inspiration from their designs. I think that this has been made well and for all my pieces on their project I would like to keep the theme quite personal and more illustrative.
The shape sensation swing ticket I like better and relates well to a few design ideas that I have had.

Whilst in the shop I picked up this handout they had beside the till. Looking at this, this is the type of leaflet I need to design as my promotional flyer or tent card or both! I think that this one is effective but not as exciting as it could be, so I would like to push this further to make people look, this will obviously be pushed towards to bra fitting service.

I have looked at the Triumph Facebook page and looked through some of their campaigns that they have online. Here is one that I think is effective.
